This post is for the Sometimes Stellar Storyteller’s Six Word Story Challenge. This week’s theme is insult.
Thick skinned? He’d had to be.
I didn’t really know what picture I was going to use to illustrate this six word story until I went hunting around on Pixabay. Then I entered the search term ‘thick skinned’ and elephant pictures appeared.
Perfect!
One of my favoured Disney films as a child was always Dumbo. The beginning, when he was being picked on and insulted because of his big ears always made me cry.
I remember that! Me too!

Dumbo came good in the end! Or did he, I can’t remember. In any case, great little tale!

Yes, Dumbo proved himself eventually, when he flew around the circus tent and became a bit of a media sensation. I’m glad you liked my little tale, Ali. 🙂

I thought he was okay. I was getting him confused with with Bambi’s mum.

Oh! Okay! I don’t think I saw that movie but it was sad to hear he was bullied because of his big ears.

Dumbo is a really sweet film – the shortest Disney animation, I believe. He’s bullied because of his big ears but then learns that he can use them to fly. 🙂
