Peachy

On day 161 of 365 Days Wild I decided to spend some time working on another soft pastel and charcoal picture. It’s based on a photograph of the overly peach-coloured sunset that I took on day 159 through the growth at the bottom of our garden, and over the field beyond.

This is the photo that it’s based on:

And here are a few close up shots of the picture:

I did also ventured out for my daily walk. Unfortunately, it was a very dull and hazy day so I didn’t take many pictures. Here are the few that I did snap.

That’s all for today. How have you been connecting with nature recently? I’d love to know. Just leave a comment below.

    1. We’ve had some nice colour but not quite as much red as I’d hoped for. A snowy winter would be nice, as long as I don’t have to drive anywhere! Thanks for visiting and commenting, Joseph. 💚

  1. What a lovely picture- both the “peachy” photo and your interpretation of it! Pastels and I are not friends. I like them, but tend to get a little careless and have troubles with smudges 🙂 Gray and hazy here, too, but this morning we had the most gorgeous sunrise with Mt. Rainier in the background–it was perfect. I wish my photos could capture those moments better!

    1. Thanks, Anne. I’m glad you like them. I have a tendency to smudge pastel pictures too – I had to clean up quite a few areas of this one! A beautiful sunrise is the perfect start to the day, even if the rest of it turns out to be grey and hazy. Being able to capture a photo of it is just an added bonus. I’m currently using my phone for my photography but I frequently wish that I had my DSLR to hand as I know the pics would be so much better! Thanks for visiting and commenting. 💚
