like a blanket over tired
shoulders, a soothing weight urging
wandering feet to settle beside a crackling fire,
restlessness is muffled beneath a
fog of weary acceptance

Day 160 of 365 Days Wild was another day of fog, but this time it didn’t lift at all, from dawn until dusk, and the sun barely made more than a hint of an appearance – and that was only shortly before it vanished completely for the night. I ventured out in the afternoon for a nature walk but none of the photos that I took particularly inspired me. In the end I thought I’d try them out in black and white, hoping that the monochrome would add some element of interest. I think I’m happy with the effect.

That’s all for today. Have you been out on any nature walks recently?
Such timeless photos. Your poem evokes such a sense of warmth and solace.

Wow! Just two colors, but so pretty ^_^ The poem goes along with them so well, evoking the chilly feeling. ❤
