captivated in crystal:
paths dividing, leading
into unknown futures;
a world of possibility,
captivated in crystal

On day 266 of 365 Days Wild I ventured out with my lens ball in hand to see what magical pictures I could capture. The woodland paths, pond and meadow all looked lovely captured in the crystal ball, especially as sunset approached, though my favourite subjects were the snowdrops.
Generally I like to turn lens ball pictures upside down, which focusses the viewer’s eye on the image in the crystal ball, rather than on the surroundings, but occasionally I prefer the picture to be left as taken. The set below contains a mixture of views. Which do you prefer?

I didn’t only take pictures through my lens ball while I was out. I also spent quite a while with the snowdrops.

I took a few pictures of the sunset as I walked home, as well.

Have you been out and about recently? Let me know in the comments below.
Beautiful!

Each has its merits but, I think, I prefer the right wrong way up!

Sometimes it just depends on the picture itself! Thanks for visiting and commenting, Peter. 😀

I’ve never seen a lens ball. Such creative possibilities. I kept strolling to choose one and eventually settled on the first snowdrops; however the one less close up with the ivy foreground was a strong contender

They’re probably my two favourite pictures, as well. 😀 I first spotted a lens ball on Instagram a couple of years ago and was instantly fascinated. Thanks for visiting, Derrick.
