restless feet wander, drifting
as leaves free from tether:
an anxious soul in search of
grounding, unable to settle as
fierce winds blow, upturning
a life once thought secure:
offering a cascade of hitherto
unlooked for opportunities

It was a sunshine and showers sort of day out on the lanes, with sudden downpours followed by bright sunshine. It was also incredibly windy. The light was beautiful as I wandered, and, luckily, I managed to avoid the worst of the rainshowers.

This latest windy weather has certainly shifted the leaves off the trees!

I’ve walked through lots of showers of oak leaves recently. The windy weather is bringing them all down. Thanks for reading and commenting, Peter. 😀
