the world shifts into monochrome,
vivid joys sinking beneath a blanket
of dour uncertainty as muggy winds
drive downpours in sweeping passage;
yet an earnest heart bides, awaiting
hope’s illumination and the chance for
technicolour dreams to burst again
into explosions of energetic growth

Day 86 of 365 Days Wild was a very grey day – and far too windy to photograph close ups – so I thought I’d have a play around with some black and white edits for the pictures that I took while out and about for a very slow wander around to the meadow.ย My mood was also rather low as, for the first time in months, my back has been playing up again and I was in quite a lot of pain. The months off work on furlough have been good for me, physically. Being back at work – and not in my usual part of the business (the play area) which is still closed – has been gruelling.
The lack of colour, I felt, suited the day well.

Looks very soggy in patches!

We seem to go from one extreme to the other this year. We’re either bone dry or water logged!

My back is only bad these days when I push myself too much. Starting back at work, unfortunately, led to me pushing myself too much. Thanks for visiting and commenting, Ali. ๐๐๐

Beautiful, evocative poetry, Lou and fabulous b/w photos. Amazing how lovely a wet, grey day can look. โค
