CB&W: Isolated Subject

poised mid-air

avoiding the squabble

of voracious opportunists

swooping with raucous cries

patiently he awaits his

chance to dive

This post is for Cee’s Black and White Challenge. This week’s theme is isolated subjects. The picture is another one that I took on holiday in Cornwall earlier this year – this time on the beach near St Michael’s Mount.

    • Thanks, Cee. I was very pleased by this shot. 🙂 And it’s perfectly suited to black and white – there was practically no colour in it to start with! I’m glad you like it.

    • Thanks, Ali. I’ve tried to take pictures of birds in flight numerous times. This is the first time I’ve ever actually managed to get the bird in focus!

  1. Wonderful poem and photo…the bird has a determine expression …it’s bound to know the exact moment to dive! 😊
