On day 301 of 365 Days Wild I spent some time with the blackthorn hedge in the Nature Project that is now covered in blossom.

Not only are the blossoms beautiful, they are also a draw to wildlife. The stretch of hedge was covered in honey bees; the air was filled with their hum.

There were also lots of 7-spot ladybirds.

A comma butterfly also landed on a blossom covered branch beside me as I watched.

And a peacock butterfly settled to bask in the leaf litter by my feet.

Is the blackthorn in flower where you are? Let me know in the comments below.
Incredible captures of the ladybug and moth. All wonderful!
