Day 196 of 365 Days Wild was a dull, grey day out on the local lanes. I wouldn’t have minded the lack of light so much if the cloudy sky hadn’t been paired with an unpleasantly strong and icy wind. My walk was brief, but I did snap a handful of pictures whilst I was out and about. It was a day that was perfectly suited to monochrome.

Absolutely lovely. While I do like colour, there is something wonderful about photos in black and white.I still can’t get over how different they can look.

Thank you! I really enjoy playing with monochrome every now and then. It completely changes the mood of an image.

They do, especially if we want to convey the weather. I also convert individual pictures to B/W when the form or mood is more important than colour.
