On day 192 of 365 Days Wild I spent some time at the bottom of the garden watching the sheep in the field behind our house.

I had a little play with black and white settings for some of the pictures that I took. Generally I prefer photographs in colour, but sometimes monochrome just seems to work.

Whilst I was at the bottom of the garden I also decided to harvest some of the yellow-berried holly from the tree in the corner.

Closer to Christmas we like to have the more traditional red-berried holly in the house, but for earlier in December the yellow berries are a great winter green to bring inside. They’re seasonal, without being overly festive.

That’s all for today. How have you connected with nature recently? Let me know in the comments section below.
I’ve never noticed yellow berried holly. Thanks for the introduction

This is the first one we’ve ever had. They are a nice wintergreen – but not very Christmassy! Thanks for visiting and commenting, Derrick. I 😄
