Plants, Plants, Plants

On day 182 of 365 Days Wild I decided to spend some time with my house plants.

I have rather a lot of these. The last house I lived in really wasn’t bright enough for any of my plants to thrive. Since I moved back in with my parents, several of them have doubled in size. They’re all looking much happier and healthier.

Not all of the plants in the house are mine. I come from a family of plant lovers. Cacti are a particular love of all of us. My dad has grown many from seed over the years – including one that is now 20 years old and over 5’1″ (157cm) in height!

Several of the cacti belong to my youngest brother who left them here when he had to work abroad for a few years. He keeps saying that he’s going to collect them now that he’s back in the country, but each time he visits there tends to be a reason why they need to stay a little while longer.

That’s all for today. Do you have any house plants? Let me know in the comments below.

    1. We’ve always been a very plant loving family. My sister and I had about 50 of them at one time, though our house wasn’t the best, light-wise. Many of them ended up being relocated to other family members houses!
