It felt like another world. Practically no one else was out. I spotted the occasional dog walker and cyclist, but mostly I had the paths to myself. And it was strangely hushed. There was no traffic hum, because no one was driving anywhere. You could just hear the birds.

It was eerily quiet. I’ve never seen Hartsholme so empty if people. It was so cold that the kids hadn’t even been out building snowmen! π¨
