Moody May Meadow

Through the hedge I go…

It was a cloudy afternoon when I wandered out on day 342 of 365 days wild. The light that seeped through cast the meadow in a moody haze.

As well as lots of Dandelions in the meadow, there are also Cowslips, Red Campion and places to sit for a while to take it all in.

I walked along the woodland path for a way, where the bluebells continue to enthrall me with their joyful demeanours.

Whilst I was there, I slipped through the trees to the field next door to the meadow to snap a few pictures of the Gooseholme dyke where it continues out through the farmland at the edge of the village. I’m pretty sure I wasn’t meant to be there, but I couldn’t resist the draw of forbidden ground.

I also snapped a few pictures of some bees and insects as I wandered. The dandelions continue to prove just how essential they are for wildlife.

What’s happening in nature where you are? Let me know in the comments below.
