just lives passing by:
connections as ephemeral as
footprints in falling snow

We’ve had the possibility of snowfall appearing in our local weather forecast several times over the last week but each time it seemed to miss us. On day 215 of 365 Days Wild we actually had some of the wonderful white stuff fall. I couldn’t resist heading out for a walk in it.
Here are the pictures that I took in the meadow:

and as the snow settled on the local hedges:

That’s all for today. Have you been out for any walks recently – whether in the snow, rain, or in blazing sunshine? Let me know in the comments below.
these are lovely!! All the best in the New Year Louise. I lost you for awhile!!

Thank you, Cybele. 😊 It’s lovely to see you again! I had a few years where I didn’t really spend much time on the blog. Even now that I’m back posting regularly I don’t spend anywhere near enough time visiting other people’s. I’ll have to try to get over to yours sometime. I always loved your beautifully atmospheric pictures and stories. 💚

footprints…looks like one person was taller than the other.
walked along the pier yesterday in sunny, warm weather

The shorter stride was mine. Walking with a longer gait tends to set my back pain and sciatica off. 😣 The other set of footprints belonged to a tallish man who was also out for a walk in the snow. I’m looking forward to warm, sunny walks again!

We had enough snow last night for me to make a snow cat on top of our bin store. She had turned into a sphinx by this morning!

How wonderful! We had very little snow here, and it was gone again a few hours later, but it was lovely while it lasted.❄️

We have not walked in snow – but in all the rest – and plenty of mud. You have produced a good set
