On day 202 of 365 Days Wild I ventured out for a nature walk down to the meadow, little woodland and pond.

The winter green is currently dominant, with holly, ivy and yew all growing in profusion in the woodland.

I spent a little time with the Scots Pine trees in the corner of the meadow. These were tiny things when they were planted five years or so ago. They’re not so small any more! I’m told that there are also a few new baby Scots Pine trees that have self-seeded around the Nature Project, though I’ve not yet noticed them myself.

Despite not having seen any for the past week or two, I spotted four different types of fungi whilst I was out and about. I’m afraid I haven’t yet managed to identify them. It’s not a quick or easy task! I have shared them on a couple of Facebook pages so I might be updating this if anyone is able to help with their identification.

That’s all for today. Have you been out for any nature walks recently? Let me know in the comments below.
No walks for me this last week, have to say again, the pics of fungi are so good 👌
