Weekly Photo Challenge: State of Mind

This post is for the Weekly Photo Challenge. This week’s theme is State of Mind and we’re asked to share pictures that reflect our emotions at the time we took the photograph. I often take pictures of reflections on water – I love to look at them as you do clouds, finding images in the play of light and shadow. The images I find very much depend on my state of mind at the time. The day I took these two pictures I was obviously not in the most positive mental state!

Drowning in
a churning morass
of fears and insecurities,
modern day demons
clutching, grasping, tearing
at your spirit.

Screaming small

    1. Thanks, Desley. I’m glad you like the poem. I had a lot of last year where I wrote very little poetry so I’m enjoying writing it again. 🙂 You can always find something interesting to photograph intersections on water!
