I think these might be Early Mining Bees (Andrena haemorrhhoa), both spotted in the meadow.
Red Dead-nettle after the rain.
The Red Dead-nettles seem to be doing really well in the meadow this year. I've often thought in previous years that it's strange just how few of them are in the field, especially considering how they're quite prolific elsewhere along the local lanes. It's good to see them finally taking hold.
