Temptation

Here’s a little drabble I wrote a few days ago. I was going to save it for a challenge but decided to just share it now instead. I hope you all like it. 🙂

Temptation

The open window tempted him.

It wouldn’t be hard to reach: just a quick clamber up the wall and he’d be able to slip inside. Easy! And the takings in such fancy digs were sure to be worth a pretty penny. There’d likely be loads of stuff lying around that he could swipe – jewellery, phones, gadgets. All stuff Old Didcot would be happy to buy off him.

Tyler shook his head, shoving his hands into his pockets as he continued down the road. He wasn’t that person any more. That life was over.

It was!

But that window tempted him.

  2. I sure love these short stories when the are actually short. Like exactly 100 words. And this one is a great example why. The trick is to get the reader to want more of your tale yet still have hints of a full background story. You’ve done a great job, Louise.
