I’m Louise, a writer, poet and photographer who enjoys spending my days out and about along the lanes and in the meadows of my local area. I’ve spent a lot of my time in particular over the last few years following the seasonal changes within a village nature project, as it has developed from an old and neglected farmer’s field into a vibrant wildflower meadow.
A few years ago my sister and I began a website,The Rooter, reporting on positive environmental news stories. I wrote quite a lot of articles for this before I found myself trying to run it on my own when my sister pulled out. Instead of continuing with it on a separate site, I scaled it back and uploaded the articled to here.
Sometimes I create art – watercolour and acrylic paintings, pastel sketches, and embroidered felt pictures, to name a few – inspired by nature.
I also write stories.
Most years I join in with NaNoWriMo and CampNaNo. I have multiple novels that are 1st, and sometimes even 2nd, drafted, and hope to have at least one of these published soon. I love to join in with flash fiction challenges, though I haven’t done so often over the last few years. I do keep getting ideas, however…
Hi Louise I will certainly pop so you can tell me a story. Thanks for the follow. In my blog I tell actual life stories (things which happened to me in an entertaining way, but in Afrikaans though). There is I actual short story when met an old man afar which led me to a magic mirror… (and taught me a life lesson) https://abriejoubert.wordpress.com/2016/09/02/doubling-the-beauty-in-syncronized-unison/
