This post is for the Weekly Photo Challenge. This week’s prompt is time.
Sunlight caressing
A stark landscape awakens
Vibrant leaves unfurl
Days advance onwards
Dancing on the turning wheel
New growth supplants old
Yesterday, for the first time in over a week, the weather was pleasant enough for me to venture out for a walk. It was nice to see the first of the new leaves on the trees, heralding the advancing of the year.
Soon it will be spring.
Gorgeous photos and words.

Thanks, Ali. 🙂 I always take a notepad and pen out with me on walks. The words of the poems generally pop into my head as I take photographs!

It’s a necessity for me! I have a notepad permanently tucked into every bag and coat. The worst thing is when I realise I don’t have a pen!

Who needs a pen? I’m sure I’ve seen some quote somewhere along the lines of “authors bleeding onto the page”. Or was that supposed to be metaphorical? 🙂

I’ve never resorted to writing in blood but I found a lighter in my pocket on one occasion and charred the tip of a twig to write with!
