This post is for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge. This week’s theme is red flowers and so I decided to revisit a few of the flower photographs that I’ve taken over the last year or so. The poppy pictures were the main things to catch my attention as I wandered through my archives but I also found a few red roses and tulips that I thought you might also like.
I’m still really behind on visiting blogs so if I haven’t been over to see you recently, I apologise. Hopefully I’ll be able to spend some time blog hopping soon. 🙂
Gorgeous pics! It would be hard to choose a favorite… I love the lone poppy standing tall while its two neighbors are folding over, but then again, the poppies in the foreground alongside the Queen Anne’s lace with turret in the background is beautiful as well. Another that completely sparked my imagination was of the army of poppies standing tall against the tree, or were they following the tree, or leading? Wonderful story starters!

I’m very glad you like them! I’m also pleased that you think they’re good story starters. A while ago I was challenged to join in with the 5 pictures, 5 stories challenge – which I do plan to actually do sometime soon (hopefully) – and the poppies with tree picture is one I’ve been considering using! 🙂

Thank you, Cybele. 🙂 We had a lot of poppies around here last year. I’m hoping this year is just as good – they’re one of my favourite flowers!
