Monthly Photo Challenge: The Changing Seasons #3 February

This post is for Cardinal Guzman’s monthly blogging event The Changing Seasons. He asks that you post a gallery of between 10 and 20 photos for each month, all taken in an area near to you. Over the course of the year we’ll get to see the  landscape changing. If you would like to know more about the challenge then follow this link.

Here are the pictures that I took for February.

I managed to walk a little further this month, though all of the pictures were taken on the lanes and footpaths around my village on the Nottinghamshire-Lincolnshire border. I’ve even discovered places that I had no idea existed! The pond is down a little footpath that I’d never been down before. I don’t think it was on private property…

I hope you like them.

    1. Thank you, Sonya! That’s one of my favourites as well – it was quite a discovery. Strange to think I’ve walked past that pond, just on the other side of the trees, so many times without knowing it was there! Thanks for visiting:)

  1. Er… shouldn’t this be March?
Nice to see the changing light in these photos – I especially like the tree-line to the farm, lovely golden light.

    1. All the photos were taken during February, I’m just a little late putting them up! My March gallery will go up at the beginning of April. 🙂 I’m also hoping to get some shots with morning light for this month – I’m generally out and about in the late afternoon and I think I need to vary it a little. Thanks for visiting. 🙂

  2. I like all of them too, and in particular the tree line to farm. I also like this challenge for the opportunity to “discover places that I had no idea existed!” That is what I love about learning about photography, it does make us pay more attention, connecting more to what is around us. Great shots! 🙂

  3. The photos are beautiful! You’re very lucky to be surrounded by this landscape. My favorite picture is the one you took of the red farmhouse with the field.
